Bronze Medal winner in the 15th Annual Pastel 100 Competition.
"Summer Pasture" was chosen out of over 2500 entries.

Terry Ludwig Pastels

WOW...after using these gorgeous pastels for 5 days they are blowing me away! I hand-picked these babies as Terry looked on...the most distinguishing feature of these pastels is the saturation...as soon as you pick them up your fingertips sport the transferred color...and then there is the color itself...lush bold true. Here is a Southwest scene I did yesterday in Lorenzo Chavez' workshop. You can tell they layer beautifully as well.

So I scrubbed off the image you saw a couple of posts ago (Twisted Heights) and repainted a whole new painting. This one is growing on me

Pastels Accepted at IAPS

I'm excited to learn two of my pastel paintings have been accepted into the IAPS (International Assoc. of Pastel Societies) 22nd Juried Exhibit at the 2013 IAPS Convention in Albuquerque in June! "Sand Dune Daisies" is 12x18" and "Summer Pasture" is 10x14". Can't wait to see the show in person and meet all of you who are passionate about pastels at this year's convention.
