"A Gentle Midday" Accepted into Master Circle Exhibit

Image may contain: outdoor

"A GENTLE MIDDAY" has been accepted in the 4th IAPS Master Circle Exhibition in Albuquerque in June. 6x12" - sometimes good things come in small packages! Thank you so much IAPS Jurors Gwenneth Barth White, Debora Stewart, and Margaret Evans. I'm very excited to have work hanging in the Master Circle Exhibition this year!

"Midnight Magic" Had a Good Year

"Midnight Magic", one of my favorite pastel paintings of 2016, found a new home with a local collector. "Midnight Magic" had a good year, receiving the BOLD BRUSH FAV 15% in FEB.; winning 2nd place in the Signature Division in the PSWC Online Member's Exhibit; was included in an article in the PSA Pastelagram Summer Edition by Duane Wakeham; and received the 'Show Submit' Award at the PSA Enduring Brilliance Exhibit in NYC in September; and as Gail Sibley reminded me, it was featured in her "How to Pastel" December Dynamite Pastels article! http://www.howtopastel.com/2016/01/decembers-dynamite-pastels/ . I'm sorry to see it go, but I know where it now lives! Thank you W.F.!

CAVE CREEK HIDEAWAY - DEMO

CAVE CREEK HIDEAWAY demo (9x12" on UArt) - if you haven't watched my demo yet, join me for a good lesson in changing a painting up when at first you thought it was done, but immediately realize it is "too much - too busy"! You will see the value of scrubbing it back and repainting! So if it's evening for you, get a glass of wine, if it's morning a cup of coffee or tea with a biscuit will hold you over the 38 minutes of the video. DEMO:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw5YNw-QXAk Then after you watch it, if you are inspired to learn more, sign up for one of my 2017 workshops found on my website www.jenevenhus.com .
Thanks for watching!!
