This small piece was so refreshing to create! I've been working on small and large oils and coming back to pastels is so "easy"! I took a series of photos of calla lilies in my son's yard last summer and plan to do more in these small pastels. The colors and the shapes are so unique.
But I want to write about the strongest urge to draw in pastel I got after I saw these flowers. Inspiring.
